Life Groups are new to Bromborough Evangelical Church, starting in September 2025.
Some churches call them “home groups,” “mission communities,” “gospel communities” or similar, often depending on the particular emphasis the church want to apply.
Our church is made up of very different people, all with different needs.
So our Life Groups will reflect that with a broad approach to discipleship, care, and mission. In this way we’ll be “sharing life together” – sharing our own lives with one another and sharing the hope of eternal life with Jesus to others.
Discipleship
Jesus told his church not simply to make converts to Christianity, but to make disciples.
Our Life Groups will include dedicated time for Bible study and discussion. It’s often easier to learn in a smaller group.
Care
In smaller groups, people are often more likely to be more open in prayer.
We can also offer more direct practical help as we develop deeper relationships.
And there’s also an opportunity to model hospitality – an important biblical attribute of any church.
Mission
The church is sent by Jesus to grow more disciples and members in each Life Group can work together in outreach.
We can also pray for and encourage one another in personal witness.
Organisation
We alternate between Life Groups and all-church prayer meetings from week to week:
- Week 1: All-church Mission Prayer Meeting (at the church building or on Zoom)
- Week 2: Life Groups (in various locations)
- Week 3: All-church prayer meeting (at the church or on Zoom)
- Week 4: Life Groups (in various locations)
To begin with, all these take place on Tuesdays. One of our Life Groups will be meeting during the daytime, and the other three are at 7:30pm.
How to join
If you’d like to join a Life Group, just come along to one of our Sunday services or contact us online.
