Every year we’re reminded of God’s goodness at our Harvest Thanksgiving Service. Our usual Sunday 4:30 service was given over to Harvest Thanksgiving on Sunday 2nd October.
We were delighted to have so many visitors.
We sang traditional harvest hymns, gave thanks to God, and heard about his abundant goodness from the Bible.
God’s blessings flow from him to the world, so we’re always pleased to overflow that blessing to others any way we can. Here’s what we did:
People donated generously to raise £860 for the amazing charity Caring For Life. In their own words:
Caring For Life is a Christian charity seeking to “Share the Love of Jesus” with at-risk and hurting people, including those who are homeless. Through providing long-term support, homes and friendship, we gradually help people to move on from past heartache and hardship towards a happier future.

All food donated at the service went straight to Charles Thompson’s Mission in Birkenhead and was gratefully received.
After the service we gathered for a light bring-and-share buffet where we simply got to stay and chat – and eat!
