We love to come together for a fish and chips lunch! It’s something we do about twice each year.
We order in fish and chips from a local chippy and have them delivered. This year we were delighted that Mei’s House opened especially for us. They provided over 50 portions of piping hot, freshly fried fish, chips, and mushy peas!
After our main course, we heard from Owen Leadbetter about his Christian faith. He said that when he was twelve he questioned his mother why on earth they had to go to church as none of it made sense. The following week was Easter and the church showed “Jesus of Nazareth” with Robert Powell. Owen understood that Jesus had actually died for him, and came to faith immediately. He said that knowing that Jesus is with him helps him make sense of life and gives eternal hope.
Then dessert was served!
