August Update

Coronavirus August update

As the new school term begins in September, we wanted to give an August update on Coronavirus with some indication about what’s coming up and when.

We continue to monitor the latest Government guidance and best practice in relation to the current pandemic. We yearn for community but we also want to keep everyone safe.

Sunday Services

We continue to have two services each Sunday at 10:30 and 4:30.

Both services are streamed live on YouTube and you can find them here. If you’d like to see what goes on before visiting us, joining us online is a great way to start.

We’re delighted that the morning service is at the building and it’s really lovely to be together! Naturally, the latest Government advice is fully in place to keep us all safe.

Sunday Kids

We’ll be resuming our Sunday Kids online Sunday Club from 6th September. It goes live from 8:30 on a Sunday morning so that parents are free to join us in person or online at 10:30.

The Government have provided excellent guidance for schools and pre-school groups where children are left by parents and carers. Unfortunately, there’s very little for groups where parents and carers are present. Best practice at the moment is that Tots groups remain closed for now.

This means that we’ll be resuming our Tots Online!

Starting Wednesday 2nd September at 11:00, we’ll have half an hour of singing and stories over Facebook. These were lots of fun during Lockdown and we’re looking forward to interacting with everyone again.

We have no plans to be re-opening JAM at the moment.

Cornerstone Coffee Morning

We have no plans to be re-opening Cornerstone at the moment. During Lockdown we were still running a Zoom call on Friday mornings but this has now ended.

We have no plans to be re-opening Knit2TOG at the moment.

Prayer Meetings

Tuesday prayer meetings continue to be on Zoom for now. Our Thursday prayer meetings tend to be populated by a more Covid-vulnerable age group and so remain closed for now.
