There is no better way to see Christmas in than our Carols by Candlelight Service.
For many church members and visitors, it’s the most wonderful service of the year.
And, once again, we were greatly blessed to answer the call: “O come, let us adore him!”
As ever, we enjoyed singing plenty of carols. We only sing traditional, well-known Christmas carols that take you back to Christmases of long ago – with a promise of more memories to come.
Of course there were traditional Bible readings retelling the wonderful story of how God came into the world as he’d promised. As the angel told the shepherds, “I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Saviour was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.”
As a special treat, some of the Bromborough Guides helped out acting as ushers before the service. Then they served up some festive refreshments and the odd mince pie!
