This year’s Woodslee Nativity and Carol Service was absolutely beautiful once again.
Every year, the school’s Year 5 group perform the musical nativity called “Looking for an Infant King”. Our community collaboration with Co-op Academy Woodslee is something we cherish and it was a joy to have Year 5 and their families with us again.
All the performances were amazing. The singing was clear and strong and the children were a credit both to their families and to the school.
The format of the service was:
- Introduction & welcome
- Everyone stood to sing the Christmas carol, The First Noel
- The children performed Looking for an Infant King
- Then we sang While Shepherd Watched their Flocks by Night
- Darren Jones (our pastor) shared some thoughts on the meaning of Christmas
- Then we finished with We Three Kings
Naturally, we had plenty of festive refreshments and mince pies to enjoy afterwards 🙂
When? Sunday 11th December, 4:30pm.
Where? Bromborough Evangelical Church (directions).
Want to sing the songs again?
If you’d like to hear or sing the songs for the nativity carol service, here they are with readings in a single video. You can download the PDF if you just want the words.
